TO CHANGE OR NOT TO CHANGE…

Change will take place whether we like it or not. And to move forward in an ever-advancing world, intentional leadership development must be chosen for your organization, your team, and in your personal life. In fact, because culture and society are relentlessly progressing toward the future, it stands to reason that being stationary leads to falling farther and farther behind. Can you think of people, groups, or companies that have gradually fallen off the radar of relevance due to not embracing change? We’ll talk about some of those! It is a real dilemma on the one hand and a powerful opportunity on the other.

Where do you stand on the topic of change? Are you one who naturally resists change, one who excitedly embraces it, one who sees the importance but is unsure how or what to change, or somewhere else in the middle? It is my hope that I can walk with you over the course of the coming months with a weekly slice of instruction, infused with some research, sprinkled with some wisdom, and placed on the plate of this LeadershipYOU platform. My purpose, as is the mission of Leadership Development International that I founded years ago, is to equip Christian leaders to develop their own leadership as they serve in the area(s) God has placed them.

The topics I will share may or may not pertain directly to your situation in life; nevertheless, I encourage you to humbly receive the biblical leadership principles I lay before you. A wise person can learn from the ramblings of a child, while a fool cannot learn from a sage. What makes us better leaders in whatever capacity we find ourselves is how well we listen to others, observing the lessons of life, thinking critically about them, applying them to the worlds in which we serve, and setting our minds to continually develop. Faith-filled leadership is forged, not born. Make up your mind to become one of them!

By not committing to change, we gradually fade into stagnation or irrelevance in a changing world. So let one of your first decisions today be to become a better leader – listen, observe, think, apply. Today we embrace change! Stay tuned…You won’t want to miss this forthcoming series on Change!
